What if something were to happen to you – your pets could be left home alone!

When your pet/s go missing it could be very traumatic, as many pets hold the firm status of family members and much-loved companions.

If your pet is found, the finder may go to the effort of taking your pet’s photo and posting it on one of the many social media lost/found animal pages.

They may call the local council, they may advise the RSPCA, or local pet shelters, or go to one of the many lost and found websites. Or sadly the finder may do nothing.

Most animals are microchipped and registered with local councils, however a simple phone call directly to the owner could save bother, time, and distress for all.

BUT, often less considered is what if something was to happen to YOU, the carer of the pet?

Emergency ID Australia has a large range of medical alerts for people but soon realised that many of its customers were worried about what would happen to their pets if they were involved in an accident or medical incident.

What would happen to their pet’s home alone, either locked inside the home or in their backyard? If they were taken to the hospital, would their pets survive? Who could attend to them? Give them water and food? Let them in or out of the house? Take care of them?

All this can be solved with a simple Emergency ID keyring that states “MY PETS ARE HOME ALONE” and with written details of the pets on the rear with a permanent marker pen.

A simple yet highly effective solution to what could be a sad situation of animal suffering. This is where we realised we can help both the pet owner and the pets themselves.

Designed by animal lovers with extensive Emergency Services experience and 17 years of experience with human medical alerts, the keyring includes the internationally recognised emergency red and white checks to grab people’s attention. Plus, they have added numerous other solutions for pets including vehicle stickers and their range continually expanding.
