For our non-engraved / non-jewellery items you DO NOT need to become a member of Emergency ID Australia. You simply purchase the product, we send it out and you complete all your own details. This is not linked with our 24 hr emergency line & no emergency details are stored on our database. See our Non-Membership range pages.

For our jewellery, wallet cards, key rings and pin on tags you need to become a member of Emergency ID Australia. This is because they are all items that are designed to be worn/carried permanently but have restricted information space. We custom engrave each item for free with your membership number and medical condition.
For this range we are similar to Medic Alert in that we operate a 24 hour emergency line for medical and emergency personnel, yet we pride ourselves on being more affordable, fashionable, modern, secure and proudly Australian Owned.

When you join you provide us with your details, including contact information for your doctor and three people of your choice (if you wish), remember you only provide what you want to.
- This information is stored in Emergency ID Australia's secure database
- When you order our products your unique membership number will be engraved on each item plus you can choose to have additional engraving eg. diabetic or another word that may reflect information you want immediately passed onto emergency personnel. There is NO CHARGE for this engraving.

To authenticate a caller who quotes your number we:
- Request the caller's name, occupation and place from which they are calling (hospital etc).
- We immediately phone back using telephone directories or emergency services switchboards and ask for the officer/doctor/nurse by name.
- Only after positive verification do we provide all the details.
- We then tell them everything that you have completed on your form eg your emergency contact people, doctors details and medical information. Remember you can provide as little or as much informatin as you like.
