"When Roxby Down's woman Sheila Culf went for a ride on her bike on May 9, she could not have known what would follow.

Struck by a car at 1.35pm, she was in a life threatening condition and unconscious. Thankfully, Sheila was wearing her helmet; without it she would not have survived the impact.

Like many people when they exercise, Sheila was carrying her keys and water bottle but no identification therefore emergency services, ambulance officers, medical personnel and police had no way of confirming who she was or how to contact her family.

It was around 5.30pm when her husband, Tony, returned home to find Sheila and her bike missing".
