Emergency ID Australia was founded by Nicole Graham (a former NSW police officer) who commenced this original idea of Emergency Identification after witnessing first hand the situations of emergency personnel being unable to fully identify people or contact appropriate people on their behalf.

On a personal note, several years ago Nicole was training and competing in biathlons when she occasionally noted being dizzy and breathless. Being a fit 34 year old at the time she was not overly concerned......she later discovered that she was suffering from a serious heart condition which could have lead to a massive heart attack at any time.

This has since been corrected, but to think;

"I could have collapsed at any time and been taken to hospital and been alone for hours, without anyone even knowing who I was, and my children and family not knowing what had happened. That would have been terrible!".

Hence, Emergency ID Australia was put into action.
